MY WORK: Dean's role at Pollen is to provide strategic and creative direction for many of our high profile clients and projects.

ABOUT ME: Before founding Pollen Design in 1997, Dean was a designer at Smart Design Inc involved in all aspects of industrial design for the mass consumer market. He has also worked at Henry Dreyfuss Associates, NYC, and Tram Industrial Design, in France, working on numerous projects as diverse as; aircraft interiors, color specifications, cameras, to ski and sports equipment. Originally from England, he was employed at IBM as a product development engineer for new technology products.

He has been a guest speaker at IDSA conferences talking on subjects as diverse as product material selection to the dynamics of teamwork and lateral thinking. He received an HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Basingstoke College and a First Class Honors degree in Industrial Design from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle.

MY PASSIONS: soccer, Tour de France, Sophia, Rowan, salt and vinegar crisps, satellite radio, Futurama, vodka and Uno

Ed Kilduff Principal & Co-founder

Ed Kilduff

MY WORK: Ed inspires his team to craft a piece of plastic, metal or a combination of any other raw material into an object that people would pay a premium for.

ABOUT ME: Ed has 20 years experience in the consulting business- designing housewares, consumer electronics, sports gear, and many other categories. Before co-founding Pollen Design in 1997, Ed freelanced for Smart Design, NIKE, A2, Gad Shaanan, Teague, Group4, Fisher-Price, and Degrippes- designing over 100 products and packages. These efforts has awarded Ed 30 issued patents. several IDEA awards, GOOD Design Awards, including Museum of Modern Art permanent collection. Ed has traveled to Asia over 45 times, developing deep ties with many Asian Manufacturers. He graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Industrial Design.
